What type of organizations and industries does CompXL work with?

CompXL is utilized by clients across a wide range of industries, including finance, banking, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, software and more. Our software is not designed with just one type of business in mind; rather, it is often the best solution for any company that refuses to let its technology stack be a limiting factor in their incentive strategies.

What is CompXL's customer support structure?

HCR takes a named account approach with a white-glove service model. There are no offshore call centers and no labyrinthine phone systems. Every client is assigned a project manager who fully immerses themselves in the client’s requirements, becoming an extension of the client’s compensation team.

What is the availability of the CompXL support staff?

Support is provided by the same service team that performs the implementation. HCR Software Sr. support staff have an average of 10 years of relevant experience. Our junior support staff have an average of 3 years of relevant experience. Clients can reach out to them directly via email or phone. Service support hours are Mon – Fri 9am – 6pm EST and on-call on Sat – Sun for severity level one issues

What are the technical requirements for CompXL?

CompXL is an Excel compatible cloud software which supports all modern browsers – Google Chrome, Internet Explorer v10+, Microsoft Edge, FireFox, and Safari.

How does CompXL leverage Excel?

For clarity, CompXL is not Excel on steroids. CompXL is a cloud software application on a Microsoft technology stack that includes Net core, Angular, C#, and SQL database server(s). CompXL stores excel file templates in the SQL database so that CompXL clients can enjoy the benefits of excel formula support, flexible layout, and powerful data visualization features in their compensation planning software. The excel file format (.xlsx) enables support for complex pay-for-performance formulas in compensation planning workbooks and flexible layout tools for compensation reports and dashboards. In addition to all users having access to an online planning workbook, System administrators can also authorize specific users to download excel planning workbooks and work offline in Excel. Authorized offline users will require access to a Microsoft Excel application/license.

How many employees can CompXL accommodate?

We can handle just about anything. CompXL is just as well-suited for small companies (under 250 FTE) as it is for large companies (over 25,000 FTE), with no reduction of features or capabilities based on your size.

Can CompXL plan in multiple currencies?

Yes, CompXL is currently deployed in over 97 currencies. Global currency conversion rates are stored in CompXL.

What other systems can I import data from into CompXL?

CompXL can import data from any data source through flat file transfers in .csv, .txt, .xls, and .xlsx formats. Additionally, CompXL can seamlessly integrate with most HR systems such as ADP Workforce NOW, UKG, BambooHR, Ceridian, and Workday.

What are the audit capabilities of CompXL?

CompXL can provide audit information down to the field level with a time/date stamp, as well as manager activity reports.
